Transitioning to and establishing normalcy in a homeless setting is extremely difficult and traumatic for children.

 

When a child is displaced, their world is turned upside down. They are no longer in surroundings they're familiar with or see faces they know, leading to fear and uncertainty. That's why it's vital that kids are still able to be kids, and toys and play are an incredible way for them to do that.

Our mission is to collect enough toys to provide homeless children joy at a time when it's hard to find joy. The holidays are a difficult time in their young lives and we know that something as simple as a toy can help ease their current living situation.

Every single toy donated to Real Deal Santa Claus is distributed to deserving homeless children living at shelters operated by the YMCA of Central Ohio.
